Campus Parking News

New Simplified Parking Permits Coming for 2026–2027!

Texas State University is introducing a streamlined, campus-wide parking permit framework for the upcoming academic year. We have replaced the old, multi-colored system with simplified "Permit Groups" designed to offer clearer choices, greater flexibility, and better options to fit your budget.

Permits will go on sale in the following phases:

  • June 29: Residential permit sales launch (limited to residents within their designated zones).
  • July 20: Residential permit availability expands to residents in other campus neighborhoods.
  • August 3: Remaining residential permits open to faculty, staff, commuters, and other groups.

Keep an eye on your Bobcat email for the official announcement and instructions on how to purchase your permit.
