Visitor Parking Options
Special Permits
Official University Guest
If you are an official guest of a university department (e.g., guest speaker, job candidate), your host department is responsible for arranging your parking permit in advance.
Please do not purchase a permit if your department has purchased one for you.
Parent Permits
This permit is for parents or family members visiting a student. It is a convenitent option for short-term stays and is valid in any legal non-reserved spaces on campus.
Parents or family must apply for online access to get Parent Permits online.
Special Events
Texas State University is home to many special events, including athletic events, conferences, commencements, and workshops and Parking Services can assist you with making the appropriate arrangements.
There is no free parking in either the pay garages or in permit parking areas except for the following events or as approved by the Vice President for Finance and Support Services. Departments are responsible for contacting Parking Services to arrange for exempt event parking:
