Balcones Apartments Permit

"The Blue Permit"

Students living on campus in the Balcones apartments may purchase a Blue Balcones Apartment Permit.

Blue Zone areas are reserved 24/7 for those with a Balcones Resident (Blue Zone) permit. It's also important to note that Cypress Resident (Orange Zone) permits also allow parking in Balcones (Blue Zone) areas.

Other restrictions: 

Balcones residents with an Blue Permit are not eligible for Residence Hall, Mill Street/Residence Hall, or Commuter/Perimeter permits.

If you don't have a DHRL Housing Contract for Cypress Apartments: 

If you are a resident of Balcones Apartments but do not have a DHRL Housing Contract, you must purchase monthly parking online through the TXST Parking Portal. This permit cannot be used to park anywhere else on campus at any time

How much does it cost?

$485

It is valid from August 7, 2024, through August 10, 2025.

If you wait to bring your car to campus until the spring or summer sessions, the cost to purchase a permit will be prorated.

Rules and Regulations

All students are required to register with Parking Services any vehicle they drive and park on campus and purchase the appropriate color parking permit. Parking rules are enforced every day of the year. Please read our full Rules and Regulations for all the details.
