Final return shuttles depart Gate 6 for campus garages and Mill St Lot.

Lots 1–4 — Donor Reserved

Donor Pass Required

  • Lot 4 Entrance: Access directly from Bobcat Drive off Aquarena Springs Dr.
  • Lots 1–3 Entrance: Access from Robbie Lane via Thorpe Lane.
  • Display physical or digital credential prior to entering security checkpoints.
  • Post-Game Departure: Outbound-only traffic directed toward Thorpe Lane or Post Road.

Travis Elementary

Paved & Grass General

  • Entrance: Enter and exit directly from Bert Brown Street off Post Road.
  • Boko's Backyard Access: Adjacent to Boko's Backyard tailgating fields. Ideal for tailgaters.
  • High pedestrian traffic zone! Exercise extreme caution and driving safety.

Thorpe Lane Lot

General & RV / Camper Hub 

  • Dual Access: Access available from Thorpe Lane and designated I-35 Frontage Road entrance.
  • RV Parking: Primary lot for oversized vehicles and RV passes. Follow attendants upon arrival.
  • Pedestrians must use the paved walking path and designated crosswalk across Robbie Lane.

Lot 5 — General & Personal Tailgating

Pre-Sold / Day-of Game

  • Inbound Entrance: General vehicles enter strictly from Charles Austin Drive.
  • Allows personal tailgating directly behind individual vehicles (1 stall max per vehicle).
  • Subject to capacity. Once full, incoming vehicles are redirected to Thorpe Lane or Mill St.
  • Post-Game Egress: Directed south toward Hopkins St or east toward I-35 Frontage Rd.

Mill Street Lot

General & Free ADA Shuttle Hub 

  • Entrance: Enter from Mill Street. Labeled separate lanes for General vs ADA parking.
  • Complimentary ADA Shuttle: Wheelchair-accessible shuttle runs directly to UFCU Stadium Gate 6.
  • State-issued ADA license plate or hanging placard required for designated ADA rows.

City Hall Lots

General Game-Day Parking 

  • Western Entrance ONLY: Enter strictly through the western entrance on Hopkins Street.
  • Eastern Entrance Closed: Eastern Hopkins St entrance is closed for crowd safety.
  • ~10-minute walk to Boko's Backyard and stadium gates via Charles Austin Drive corridor.

Shuttles, ADA & Rideshare Hub

Avoid stadium parking traffic by utilizing campus shuttles or designated Uber/Lyft pickup points.

Bobcat Football Game Shuttle

Complimentary shuttle service runs continuously between the main campus and UFCU Stadium Gate 6.

Pick-up Campus Locations:

  • LBJ Student Center Loop
  • San Jacinto Hall
  • Edward Gary Street Parking Garage

Service Hours:Starts 3 hours before kickoff, runs during game, and operates 1 hour post-game.

ADA & Mobility Assistance

Dedicated wheelchair-accessible shuttles and reserved parking for guests with state-issued placards.

ADA Designated Parking:

  • Mill Street Lot: Primary ADA lot with direct shuttle drop-off.
  • Lot 4: Limited first-come, first-served ADA stalls.

ADA Shuttle Route:Direct drop-off and pickup at UFCU Stadium Gate 6.

Rideshare (Uber & Lyft) Zone

For safety, rideshare pickup/drop-off is strictly restricted to designated zones away from stadium crowd bottlenecks.

Designated Zone:

Lot 5 via designated Aquarena Springs Drive entrance.

Drop-off Restriction:Rideshare vehicles are strictly prohibited along Aquarena Springs Dr and Charles Austin Dr.

Traffic Routes & Delays

Do not rely solely on navigation apps (GPS) as temporary turn restrictions and outbound-only closures do not update in real-time.
There are no road closures in place; however, lane and crosswalk traffic control support will be active.

Pre-Game Inbound Delay Zones (3 Hrs Prior)

Expect heavy vehicle slowdowns and temporary lane restrictions on:

  • Aquarena Springs Dr: Between Post Road & I-35 Frontage Rd.
  • Post Road: Between Bert Brown Dr & Charles Austin Dr.
  • Thorpe Lane & Robbie Lane: Key intersection leading to Lots 1–3.
  • Hopkins Street: Between Thorpe Lane & Short Street.

Post-Game Outbound Route Rules

Post-game routes differ completely from arrival routes. 

  • Outbound-Only Lanes: Charles Austin Dr & Thorpe Ln operate as outbound-only.
  • Pedestrian Holds: Police will temporarily hold vehicle traffic for crowd waves.
  • No U-Turns: Do not attempt U-turns or move barricades.
  • I-35 Frontage Corridor: Primary outbound arterial for Lot 5 & Thorpe Lot.

GAME-DAY SAFETY & STADIUM CENTER

Railroad safety, pedestrian corridors, clear bag verification, and emergency care.

1. Active Railroad Corridor & Pedestrian Rules

Active Union Pacific rail lines intersect high-density pedestrian routes heading to UFCU Stadium. Strict adherence to train safety laws is mandatory for all fans.

Mandatory Railroad Safety Rules

  • NEVER Walk Around Lowered Gates: Do not step onto tracks when signals flash or arms are down.
  • NEVER Climb Over or Under Railcars: Freight trains can move instantly without prior warning.
  • Cross ONLY at Staffed Crossings: Use designated crossings on Post Road & Aquarena Springs Dr staffed by police.
  • Remain Behind Hold Lines: Stand at least 15 feet back behind yellow pavement markings when trains pass.

Staffed Pedestrian Walkways

  • Follow Coned Paths: Stay strictly inside pedestrian corridors marked by barricades and cones.
  • Illuminated Night Routes: Enhanced lighting is activated along Charles Austin Dr & Post Rd post-game.
  • Traffic Holds: Officers will periodically hold vehicle traffic to allow crowd waves to cross safely.
  • Allow Extra Time: Expect brief holds when freight trains pass; arrive at stadium gates 45 min before kickoff.

2. Clear Bag Policy & Prohibitions

UFCU Stadium enforces a strict clear bag policy to expedite entry and enhance safety.

CLEAR BAG POLICY

PERMITTED BAGS

  • One bag per person.
  • Clear bags that are no larger than 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches. 
  • A one-gallon, resealable clear bag is allowed. 
  • Small clutches or purses that are no larger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches are still allowed for privacy. 
  • Seat cushions without pockets or compartments are allowed. 
  • Upon inspection medical items are permitted. 

PROHIBITED BAGS

This initiative-taking measure is intended to enhance security inside and outside of Texas State University venues and speed up the security screening process for all in attendance. With clear bags, security staff will be able to check bags more quickly for prohibited items, which means shorter lines, fewer hassles, and more time in the venue for Bobcats to enjoy their event and have a greater sense of security. 
 

3. Weather Prep, Hydration & First Aid Stations

Free Water Stations

Complimentary water refill stations located on East and West concourses inside UFCU Stadium and in Boko's Backyard.

First Aid Tents

Stationed at Gate 2 (West Concourse), Gate 6 (East Concourse), and mobile EMT teams in Boko's Backyard.

Severe Weather Protocols

In the event of severe weather or lightning delays, fans will be directed to safe shelter in Strahan Arena or JCK Building.
